YI Home App Reviews

  • No iPad app???

    By Jacques4242
Phone app on iPad is awful. Also, starting about a year ago, the connection has been timing out, so I have to frequently reconnect to a camera. If I'm just listening, I have no idea whether my kids are crying or not. It's only good for checking, not for passively monitoring. If you want a baby cam, get one with a better app.
  • No Time Stamps

and makes you want to pay for cloud service even though you have SD Cards and can’t see more than 6 seconds. What kind of BS is this? I need protection and surveillance , not pop up adds for other products.
  • Great

Cameras are good for how small they are. Great price! Just wish the cloud storage was cheaper. Had to buy sd cards to save a lot of $$. I did buy the 911 service for $40 for the year and well worth it during these riots.
  • Great product

It is living up to all the promises and the family is already using the app and feels much more comfortable here at the house or coming home to an “empty house”
  • Human detection is so bad

    By Chris Pt
Come on, this is a chinese company, you should have so much data to train your models on. Half of my alerts are just a tree blowing or light moving, and that’s with sensitivity set to minimum. Also it would be nice if we could navigate between alerts, history, and live without going all the way back to the home screen. The next thing I do after viewing an alert (assuming it’s an actual person) is usually to go to live view and see if they’re still there etc.
  • So Convenient, no problems

    By StarLord phone
Have had the same three cameras for about 4 years, haven’t had any problems with them. Use all the features and they’ve gotten me out of some jams when it comes to communication and peace of mind.
  • Cheap price for no protection.

Used them for seven months and seemed fine at first until my house got broken into and the cameras didn’t the people. Four cameras, two outside showing the front and back door and two inside, one showing the front door and living room and hallway and one at the end of the hallway and none of them detected people. I had the motion capture on high and the max setting of detection but they didn’t record anything. The only motion these record and detect is birds and moving cars. These cameras are completely worthless. Cheap price for cheap protection.
  • Cam

We travel a lot and the camera works amazing. I like it because sometimes I’m night vision we can’t see the best but you can listen in and see if there’s any noise.
  • HomeKit?
