  • Such a big helper

    By JB1Kanobe
I’m not new to house plants and office plants, but I’ve diversified my family of plants and added plants outdoors. This app gives so much more detail than those plant tags from the store. I learned why one of my outdoor plants died and the others were struggling. I also learned why a few of my new indoor plants were thriving or stagnant. I do wish they’ll add more varieties, as I love a good rare plant from the local nursery. I’m happy and may consider upgrading the app to premium.
  • Love!

I really love this app. It is SO helpful to keep me on a schedule, and the new update with the kind of pot is really great. The only down side, as someone else mentioned, is that it doesn’t do a good job taking into account your weather. I can’t use this for outside plants. If you know your plants well enough, you can certainly put in your own schedule, but this is my first year doing a food garden, and I would have liked more accurate watering advice for these plants. Regardless- ABSOLUTELY recommend!!
  • Does not work

    By Danielle2349
This app can not identify the simplest of plants. Tried another one that works so much better. This app stinks and they completely ignore support messages submitted through the app asking for refunds. STAY AWAY
  • Good, with some issues

So far enjoying the paid version of the app. But there are some glitchy things. I have one plant that keeps showing up every day saying I need to water it and no matter what I do, I can’t get the notification to go away, and I can’t even delete the plant. I added a new one but the old one still continually shows up creating problems. Also, some things are clunky - if I leave the app and come back, it always brings me back to the homepage and leaves the spot I was on. It’s also a lengthy process to log things you’ve done in the past, as you have to tap on many things to get there.
  • Free version review - should allow photo identification

It seems an easy enough feature. Although, if you provided additional free features such as fertilization schedules that would make up for this lacking feature. However, my main issue is that you don’t allow the option for plants that have been repotted into a grow bag. While I can choose the closest type to the grow bag based on its qualities, it would be nice to be certain. I feel this is a fairly common option people use and the fact that it’s not available as a choice seems quite silly. I would also like to see a feature that takes into account the use of grow lights in areas that have been deemed too dark. While I can make mental adjustments, I think this would help ease the mind of beginner gardeners like me. I think if I had the premium version this would receive 4 stars, because the amount of information I’m missing in schedule notifications is very intriguing!!
  • Very reliable

    Love it
  • Plant saver

I’m gonna say it, all my plants would be dead if not for this app. I’m a mom with 3 dogs who loves plants, without the notifications my plants would suffer.
  • Good app, but could use some changes.

Great concept, and really cool for the plants it has support for. However, there are a lot of plants (especially California native plants!) that don’t have any support. There should be an option to add your own plants in and put in the associated watering schedule, much like the current “custom care” setting. That way, people who know their plants can still have the benefits of having all their plant lists in one place. Also, it is odd to me that the scientific names of the plants are so hidden. Most serious plant growers are familiar with scientific names more so than common names, and it’s a little frustrating when search results come in sorted by common name with only the genus visible (sometime). When i tried to find a plant that the app did not support i tried to search the genus but the results were muddled by the common names. So in summary: this app would be even better if users can add their own plants in (possibly contributing to plantas database of plant knowledge; making it easier on devs to add new plant support), and if common names were less emphasized than scientific names. Update: thanks for the response! Changed my rating to 5 stars.
  • Multiple light settings per room

    By Tasha Gonzalez
I’ve recently gotten into plants with the help of this app! I live in Minnesota so the set watering schedule is great. I did the premium subscription to identify plants I’d like in my yard that I see on my walks. The only real complaint I have is that there’s no way to add multiple light choices for a room. In my bedroom, there’s a west facing window that gets a ton of direct light from 2pm-6pm. There’s also a huge double north facing window that gets all day indirect light. There’s several dark zones as well due to sloped ceilings and recessed doorways. Short of having several “bedroom” locations for the same room, I have to just ignore the warnings of improper lighting for some of my plants.
  • Nice watering reminder

I really like this app, I have a crazy schedule and it’s nice to remember when I watered my plants last. I wish it had an “in the ground” for outdoor plants but that’s just me.
