Instacart Shopper: Earn money

I am a young senior on a fixed income. I thought being a shopper would keep me active while making some money. I was hesitant to get started as a shopper because I thought I’d have to “figure” things out. But to my surprise, the app guides you step by step. The only thing that wasn’t obvious to me from the app was how far the delivery address was in distance from the store(s) where I was shopping. Therefore, on my first day and a half I had to drive farther than I wanted.

You can only have two moving infraction tickets. I was a clean driver until this year where my area is infested with bad drivers with rude behaviors and drugs. INSTACART IS NOT LIABLE FOR TICKETS AND SHOULD LEAVE IT TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT FOR DRIVING PRIVILEGES. THERE SHOULD NOT BE A LIMIT OF TICKETS BEFORE WAITING 3 YEARS TO WORK FOR THIS APP AGAIN.I HEARD UBER IS BUYING THIS APP. THERE GOES MY 338 5 STARS DOWN THE DRAIN

I am Diamond instacart shopper with 650+ successful deliveries. All that time i had 90 five star reviews and and my rating was 4.98. Just recently i started noticing my 5 stars being removed to 84 and my rating was dropped gradually till it went under 4.70 to stop my orders. I complaint 4 time to instacart. But i think maybe thats part of a plan so let it be. All my hardwork went down the drain.

I worked essentially full time obeying platform rules and regulations maintaining diamond shopper status, but that means nothing to instacart. I had a racist store manager that made obscene racist comments about me to my face then openly bragged about how many drivers he’s made lose their gig. I proceeded to make a report to the store and to instacart. The racist then proceeded to make a false claim against me the victim of his verbal abuse and with out notice I was deactivated. Insta cart does not care what you say drivers have no advocacy in this company. Don’t take instacart as serious as I did because we are merely sheep to them and if you work too hard they are more motivated to try to get rid of you as they perceive you as a danger to their gig sheep business model. So sad the way this company chewed me up and spit me out. Meanwhile you have drivers that don’t complete orders,don’t follow company rules and guidelines, and steal that are working today.

Great gig worker app!

April 19th I had an order with TWO separate batches. My instacart card was not working. I contacted shopper support, they asked if I could pay for it and I will be reimbursed and I agreed. That being said, there is a recorded phone call that the company should have of this agreement. I put in the reimbursement claims through the app, only one was approved and the other has been rejected EIGHT times now. It was for $81.50 out of pocket that they refuse to pay back. I have contacted multiple agents through the app where they have been very helpful doing their best. They even said they do not know why it is getting rejected and advised me to keep trying. I have provided CLEAR pictures of my bank statement of the payment, multiple receipt photos, screenshots of the conversation with agents, and the date, time, and name of the order. If one batch was approved no problem then I do not understand why the other half has been rejected. I’m hoping by writing here that I may get actual feedback and help. I am a student who needs every dime I can make. Please contact me to resolve this issue.

I don’t recommend. I live in the busiest area and yet it’s soooo slow. 1 order comes per hour and it’s always below $20. DONT RECOMMEND. (Also they keep hiring new shoppers but this app is so slow)
