    I am changing my review from a year ago. I used to like this app but not anymore. They do not allow you to keep the books you PAY FOR! I paid a lot of money to read two books by author Jessica Hall (50+), only to have Good Novel remove both books from my library and they have not refunded me for my money 😡 10/10 do NOT recommend!!

    I’ve had issues multiple times now with books going missing from the app. At one point I requested a refund because of the missing content. After I made a request through my credit card, they restored the missing content. Since the content was back, the case was closed without a refund. The books were removed again after that. It seems like the company doesn’t always own the continued rights to the content they publish, so you have to spend at your own risk.

    The book is good. The reason rated 3 is it’s been working fine now anytime I click on the bonus and 15 minutes of reading or 30 minutes and then start to read it shuts down. It was fine till tonight prior to seeing an update so then I updated and same issue keeps closing soon as I hit read so I’m losing 15 points for it each night it force closes

    Do NOT use this app!! Apps like this are so common there is so many better choices (iReader for one) that don’t steal your books. I have spent hundreds on many books that have now been removed by Goodnovel from my paid for library. UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

    Update I was able to get my books back with no help from customer support however they just went to dispute with an author and they removed all of my books books. I have paid for reimbursement purchase any books from them. I have been trying to contact customer support for months now. All you can do is email them they will not email you back not only did they steal my money but then they won’t contact me back when I need assistance to get my account back. I have sent pictures and proof and not even a thanks for sending us an email I have spent hundreds of dollars on GoodNovel went to get a new iPad and try and sign in and it would not allow me to said my account did not exist. However, I still had my old iPad with my information on it so I knew my account information was correct, then I left my old iPad intact so then that way I would be able to get some help from GoodNovel and I went to open up my GoodNovel app a week and a half later so I could re-contact good novel again and they signed me out of my account. Avoid like the plague. I have sent emails I have contacted them via Facebook and this I guess is one of my only last resorts. Oh look they responded on here, however if they read my complaint then they would see I have emailed SEVERAL times with no response.

    I bought a several books on the good novel app and today they disappeared. They have not responded to my inquiry asking for a refund since I no longer have access to the books to read. The author has written proof she requested books to stay on the app for readers who purchased.

    So, I have been using this app daily for over a year now. Some books are amazing, some are meh. Then, if you read enough, you’ll find that some of the books are regurgitated story lines. I’m ok with that. I enjoy hallmarks regurgitation of the same story line too. However, after following some of the authors that I really enjoyed, I’ve come to learn that some editors have encouraged some of the newer writers to completely plagiarize the writing of successful authors. Recently I’ve noticed several of the books I had previously unlocked chapters on are all missing from one of the authors that had been in dispute with this app for nearly a year now. So, GN may think they’re punishing the author, but the readers that have already put time and money into this app are also being mistreated. I had previously rated this app highly for the ease of unlocking chapters, and the variety of stories, and ease of use. All of that remains the same. It is by far one of the easiest apps to get free chapters on, but I can’t in good conscience continue to spend money on this app (which I occasionally do buy coins to unlock content faster), when they are mistreating the authors, encouraging plagiarism, and then finally mistreating the readers. GN needs to answer to its readers for why it is treating us and their writers this way. Or explain if this is just some weird glitch (that only seems to affect the content of a specific top writer that is in the midst of a dispute with them), or if they have removed the content, they need to let the readers know why our unlocked content is missing. Also, most recently I have found several of my books that I had downloaded before are now missing from my library. I know GN is in dispute with their former top author, but this author has been transparent in their efforts to protect the readers that had already purchased and downloaded their content to be able to continue to access the content. Now GN has taken the content that readers had previously unlocked. Proceed with caution new readers.

    I use to like GoodNovel then an authors books I purchased were deleted out of my library after the author gave permission for us to keep them! I’m very upset that they basically stole money. Since my purchase was taken away. Previously they did this and gave them back now here we are doing it all over again don’t buy the books it’s not worth it they can delete them right when you are in the middle!

    Your books are great but I’m concerned about how long it takes to finish it. I’m 73 years old. This takes too long too finish. I like the ones that have an ending. Please tell the writers to work a little harder. I’ve got so many books that I’m reading, I get the story lines and names mixed up. Thank you
