So I was thinking of ways to get this stupid screen time thing turned off, first thing I did was sneak on my dads phone and turn it off but of course he figured out but that didn’t stop me. This time I grabbed his phone, downloaded the app and I signed into his account 😈and turned it off and every time he turns it on again. Hehe I will turn it back off 😈

At first, we liked this app. However, twice in one month, someone has been able to add themselves to the family and the first time used it to purchase several gift cards from Microsoft. Thankfully, our credit union stopped the fraudulent charges. We changed our passwords and just got hacked again. We deleted the account and the app.

My dad put this app on my phone before I opened it on Christmas and I can see how long I’ve been on the computer 💻

Continuously lock ups and freezing. Makes the app useless in IOS. On our Android device it works flawlessly.

Overall I enjoy the convenience of being able to apply some setting between my app and my console and I hope it’s just a me problem but I can’t stand that I can’t see the balance on my kid’s card in app until I add to it.. besides having the trust and verification from my kid, the app had always shown the balance before.

The app no longer notifies you when a family member leaves or arrives in a specified location. And in November there will be no location or drive features? Well then you app is useless to me.

Such a deeply flawed and poorly designed app. Xbox time limits are consistently ignored. The Family Safety app reports “Time limit reached today” but my child is able to keep playing without limits. Contacting Microsoft support to troubleshoot the app is tedious and slow, and the solutions they offer (completely reset the Xbox, use the web site instead of the app to set time limits, etc) are at best temporary. The last time we did a full Xbox reset, the app worked for one day and then reverted to infinite playtime. The app is so disrespectful and dismissive of family safety that the app name seems like a cruel joke

I was hoping to use this like I do screen time limits on Apple platforms to limit my own screen time in specific things, but it only supports child accounts.

After logging in I can’t get past the prompt to choose whether to share my location. So the app is not accessible at all.

The manual device lock & unlock is still not working. It’s been months:-(
