  • Needs better user interface

I really wanted this product will work well as I need it to sort out things in the refrigerator. Signed up for the three day trial and tried to exercise the various features of the product. Some basic features worked fine and others did not. I wrote to the Help email as listed in the app, and never heard back to my questions, suggestions, and request for assistance with features. So, canceled my subscription and deleted the app. Gave it two stars for the features that did work OK.
  • How can I rate an app on first launch?

Why would any developer ask for a rating on the first launch ever of an app? Just that merits 0 stars.

I have used another application for a number of years to help me track food expiration dates, but decided to give this one a try. Very happy I did, it’s super easy to use and has a pretty extensive food database. And I don’t even have to type in the expiration date, it reads it itself! Well done.

It actually works. Because I can and do many home foods, we created bar codes for my home canned food and keep track of that as well. We even do freezer meat too!!!!

If they wouldn’t, let me get on as premium lifetime for free then I don’t need this app UPDATE:To be fair, the developer did acknowledge my review and told me to send him a screenshot and everything and they would try to help me with my problem. But after reading ALL of the information on the app; I have decided that this app is for people that has more time than I do. Not to say that this is a bad app or anything at all. Please don’t misunderstand that, but this would not be compatible with me. Thank you, developer, for all your attention and help and I’m sure this is a good app. I will repeat that, but it’s just not for me. Thank you and keep up your good work because to me an app is only as good as the developer.Which to me means keeping up with your apps perAcknowledging your reviews is one of the most important thing in my opinion. Thanks again.

  • Easy to use! But some annoying UX issues

I am reviewing v2.8.0 The barcode for US items are now correctly recognized. This means I can now actually use it! Thanks to the developer for looking into this problem. So far the app is one of the easiest to use I have tried that tracks food in my fridge and pantry. There is still one annoying problem which is the barcode scanning falsely detecting where there is no barcode. This sometimes makes it impossible to scan the actual barcode and I have to manually enter the info. The developer is very responsive so I know this will be addressed.
  • Finally Support & Working, Mostly

I like the interface look and feel. It’s missing the ability to keep an item on the list once it consumed. Some items you may always have and a pain to re-enter them each time but hopefully over time it will be added. A great simple program. Update: Sharing is now working. Sync mostly works but if you move items to another list, it won’t sync.

Great app, would be five stars but please make a default option to sort through your lists by expiration date! You can change it when you’re in the list but every time you exit the app it defaults to sorting by alphabetical order. Make an option to default sort by expiration date!
  • Very very useful app!

Developer is very kind in making improvements to the app. The bug in the search feature seems to have been partially resolved, in that if I mark an item as consumed one (out of many), it does mark that item as done, but it does so for all the existing quantity of that item. In short, I think consumed one is functioning as consumed all. Hope it gets fixed, since I have not been able to 'undo' something, or even look back at the list of consumed items to mark it perhaps as not consumed. Both of these features would be very useful though personally. Thanks for being supportive!
