Amazing realistic voices, clear pronunciation, and a text highlight feature that accompanies the text-to-speach function!

Installed this app and it seized control. Could not uninstall this app until I rebooted and told mac not to restart any apps.

I was trying this app out in order to read documents for me and I thought it was cool that I could even have famous people as voice options. I may have considered paying for the membership if it wasn't for the fact that when I tried changing the voice, a pop-up came up that could not be closed no matter what. It was forcing me to start a free trial, after which it would charge $139. There was no way to get out of it until I was able to reach mission control and delete the app. Left a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth and now I would never consider giving them another chance. But hey, atleast the solution killed 2 birds with 1 stone by both getting rid of the pop up, AND the app itself in 1 fell swoop. 1/10 would not recommend this app

I have had this for over two years and even with premium it crashes over and over again. They don't update it to fix the bugs ever and when they do it works fir a few weeks then crashes again. As a graduate student with ADHD it only makes it harder to study and at this point I have just decided to us the spech option for my macbook because that actual always works.

I have premium, but it says I don't.....

It's absolutely impossible to launch, use and utilise Speechify through the Mac/iOS app. It works fine on iPhone; works okay but still not so great on web browsers but byfar the worst is this iOS/Mac app version. It's unusable. I have to restart my computer every time I try to use it because it blocks/ruins everything else. I love Speechify, and I even pay for premium, but this app is a joke. I have been begging them to fix it. I hope one day it'll be usable...

For the price, I'd expect the app to work more than 50% of the time. There's almost always some sort of bug making the app unusuable, which is incredibely dissapointing. I regret paying for this, and I'll be finding a different speech-to-text app to use once my membership is up.

For context, I'm a PhD student and boy did I used to love this app. At the beginning of my PhD journey, I found this app and fell in love with it. It was a true game changer. As of 2024, however, this app has been a continual disappointment. I love the concept but the Mac app just refused to allow me to switch voices without getting my entire 2023 MacBook Pro stuck in a continual loop of "start free trial" even though I'm already a premium member resulting in me having to do a hard shut down of my machine. Developers, PLEASE fix this app! I refered all my PhD friends and now look like a schmuck because it's giving us all headaches!

This app is fine when it works, and there's nothing else like it on the market. (Trust me, if there was, I'd use it instead.) But this app is buggy, and it breaks / crashes on a semi-regular basis. I was using the web app before I downloaded from the App Store, and it's a hot mess. Unfortunately, when the app breaks — or if you need support for any reason — expect long waits and a rough go with a team that only seems to have passing knowledge of their core product and its issues. At the time of this writing, I'm about four days in waiting on a support response. It's like nobody is home. Don't let that be you. If you find a better TTS option (including the one built into your OS), use that instead.

I was testing this out and it popped up a screen to get the premium for $139 and it wouldn't go away in the middle of my computer screen. Couldn't press the X that was on the screen, couldn't press the start free trial that was on the screen. Not a good product in my opinion.
