Let’s start with the good : this app very helpful in uploading PDFs to listen to on my commute or to listen to websites. Great voice options. Easy to navigate. The bad: This app is expensive. Despite the premium subscription fee, I received motivation that I exceeded my premium word limit. No where do I see on the app, in the FAQs or the App Store any discussion on a premium word limit. I used the app to text message customer support and over 12 hours later no response. Complete lack of transparency.

Without premium this just isn’t that good of an app. The premium is a subscription of $139 a year, which is more than I am willing to pay. Microsoft’s Edge browser has natural sounding voices that are completely free. If they had a buy once pay model, I would consider it. Subscription based is just annoying and greedy. AI will likely put this app out of business if they don’t change it. The limits on the free version just make the app annoying. Each link you copy counts as a stored document. I used it for school so every 5 pages of my ecourse book I had to go and delete the previous 5 to continue. That’s just annoying by design. There are much better free options out there. As for premium, it’s great having snoop dog read a history book to you. But not $139 great for each year.

It will charge you in error. I canceled my subscription immediately after downloading it when I realized it was not what I needed. I canceled it within the 3 day free trial period. They ended up charging my credit card $139 one day after the free trial period ended. I have tried to get the charge refunded but they are refusing to refund it. I noticed the same thing has happened to several others who have also written reviews. This must be common practice for the company. It should be held accountable for its unlawful practices. Hopefully it will go out of business.

I see this is a great app and a great concept. However, there are a few setbacks that make it hard for me to use. I paid $140 to have it for a year. There are free stuff I just wanted someone of the voices. I use this app to scan my class books. the problem that I have is if it’s too dark, it doesn’t scan if it’s too light it doesn’t scan because of glare. if it doesn’t scan just right in then the software doesn’t interpret the text correctly. Then read it back in gibberish. Have to rescan a number of pages. the folds in the book affect the ability to scan the whole page. Plus, I have tremors, but that’s not the apps fault. It usually takes about two to hold the page and scan it effectively. As long as you take that in mind and it is a great and functional.

I previously had an account with speechify, and tried canceling my subscription. Instead my card was charged $239 and I was kicked out of my account. I tried accessing my account through multiple outlets so I could get a refund on the charge, but this app tried making me pay an additional $139 just to access it. This app may seem tempting to use, but their customer support is trash.

So far this is amazing. I use to love to read. For some reason I lost the urge I think because of my adhd I could not concentrate on the reading and I’d end I’m up bored or or so tired i needed to sleep. So far this has gotten me exited to read again. I can’t wait to get into the next book!

Thank you for creating this. This is an awesome tool to have if you have dyslexia and ADHD like me then this really is the platform for you. It’s interactive and it gives us wonderful ideas and put everything in one area and it’s so easy to use. I love how we can choose the voices and speed up the pace of reading I’m using it for me and I also have it for my kindergarten too, so I’m so excited for her to be able to have access to tools like this in the beginning of her learning experiences in my looking forward to more tools that the creators are going to be putting out there please let me know how I can help this I have a literacy learning center that specializes in children like myself and also doubts learning so I’m definitely gonna save this and pass this tool around to my community.
