Downloaded the app as requested. But each time I select an article from MSN to read a local news report, the App Store appears and ask me to open the start app which I already did!! What a waste of time. Moving on.

So I use this app for two things. The pints program, which takes a lot to get anything but mostly works. And the receipt scanning, which has gotten worse and worse. It takes processing time for each receipt submitted to verify your receipt and they can randomly decline your submission and take away the reward. The 6 scan bonus is limited to only once every 24hrs, which is kinda lame. Basically, Fetch is the better platform for receipt scanning. I just submitted a backlog of receipts and all 6 towards the bonus were rejected after the “pending” time for a generic reason. Other issues is that this app opens everything into separate tabs so it can become bloated and glitchy if to many are open. I didn’t realize this till I went into the tab page and had probably 200+ in there as I had no idea that was happening each time I opened the rewards or receipt section… This had caused my app to be slow and break especially in the receipt scan section which gets broken frequently from updates. Like you click scan receipt and instead of opening the receipt scanning camera, you get a search the web for camera. Honestly, the whole opening everything in “browser” tabs each time you click into something is just terrible app design. (I will note, there is a setting to auto close tabs after a day, but it’s off by default and I feel like it does t always work) My suggestions to devs: - take away receipt “processing” time, like it’s 1¢ as a reward chill Microsoft. Just give the 1¢ lol - let someone scan a bunch of receipts at once and don’t just decline them - you should be able to scan receipts and get bonus without waiting 24hrs till your scans count to the next bonus. Sure, people can get up to $50, but most of my bonuses have been 10¢-20¢ so I am sure those odds are low to get $50 - get rid of the tab design - make sure not to set the receipt scanner camera to a web search camera when you make updates

Lately however it’s become more of a hassle than helpful. Rejecting perfectly legitimate receipts, in clumps, with no recourse whatsoever. I’m quickly losing the patience to deal with such a poorly constructed operation.
  • Easy to use, terrible app symbol.

Easy to use so far and highly customized to offer me what I want….i don’t understand the app symbol or the name, “start”. I have a bunch of apps, call it something that makes it simple.
  • Most annoying thing about Start

How many time do you see “open the Start App to continue reading,” only to click “open the app” and the article you were reading has vanished? With Start it seems like all the time. It should be seamless if you are driving users to use the Start app, the article being read on the browser should immediately be the first thing you see in the Start app…no search required.

The “continue in app” never takes me to what I want to see. Worthless.

Unfortunate that it has frequent updates that don’t work. Also a pain that in order to read news, I must use the app. Not convenient at all.

The fact that you get forced here is ridiculous. You can make money on adds on a website. Trying to read an entire article should not be so painful.

Whenever I click on MSN news articles online, I’m directed to the Microsoft App. However, the App never shows the article.
